The Vortex Fighter is the only small fighter among the Urcath armada since they don't value small squadrons. For this reason they've outfitted the Vortex with high cargo capacities and a low hydrogen consumption rate meant to plunder and retrieve resources from large distances.

ADVANTAGES

The Vortex Class fighter-transport ship has a number of advantages as both a cargo ship and a smaller fighter. Its relatively large cargo capacity and affordable cost make it a cargo ship of choice for many players. Once the relevant alien technologies are researched to similar levels as other cargo ships this ship will out perform every cargo ship in just about every way possible. Additionally for newer players, this ship can serve a dual purpose as it is simply more economical and effective than options available at lower levels (i.e. Atlas/Apollo cargo raids)

DISADVANTAGES

A primary disadvantage, as with all alien ships, is that the player must control an Alien Space Dock in order to produce these ships. This forces all players who wish to take advantage of this cargo-fighter ship to engage in the territory competition of Hired Guns.
