This is the SFC2 wiki. It covers what every building, ship, defense and technology does, how battles are worked out, and the tactics players use to keep their fleets alive. Use the search box at the top of the page to find something, or open All pages for the full list.
If you just started, read the Quick Start Guide first and then the 8 Rules to Live By. Both are short and both will save you a fleet.
Spotted something wrong, or want to add a tip? Every page has a comment box at the bottom. You need a forum account to post one.

New to SFC2?
The game runs in real time and never stops, so the players who do well are the ones who leave something building and something flying every time they log off. Here is the short version of the first week.
- Build up your mines. Ore, crystal and hydrogen pay for everything else. Keep the Ore Mine, Crystal Mine and Hydrogen Synthesizer climbing, and add a level of Solar Array whenever you run out of energy.
- Run missions. The Missions page pays resources for a short round trip and ordinary missions never cost you ships. It is the fastest way to top up while your mines are still small.
- Get the Research Lab up. Research unlocks better ships, faster engines and more missions. Only one research runs at a time, so pick carefully.
- Colonize. Build a Gaia Class Colony Ship, find an empty slot on the Galaxy screen and send it. You can hold up to 10 planets, and more planets means more mines.
- Send your fleet away before you log off. Ships parked at home are exactly what other players are shopping for. The Fleets page has a Fleet Save button for this.
The Galaxy screen is where you find everyone else. Each solar system has 15 slots, and the icons on the right are the actions you can take against that planet: spy it, attack it, defend it, harvest its debris or message the owner.

When will the Wiki be updated? for example, I do not see any documentation or listings for the new "Incursion" or the "Store" created as part of the Incursion Protocols?
I need tochange my password. There is no help for this
There is nothing about Planet Moves in this wiki as far as I can see... In v1, a planet move has a cooldown timer whereby the player who moves the planet is unable to carry out attacks from a moved planet for 24hrs...
I saw a player here in v2 move a planet to a citadel. It needs to be clarified whether attacks can still be run from a moved planet and if so it needs to be fixed because this would be a bug open to exploitation which absolutely would destroy the balance of the game.
Why does the Crystal Mine advance at 1.6 times the cost of ore and crystal per level when the Ore Mine, Hydrogen Synthesizer, and Solar Array only advance at 1.5 times the costs per level?
I don't see the old formula for calculating ship speeds. This was a formula provided on the Wiki that I used back in 2009 before there were moons/oracle's. The formula works as a manual "O-Lock" tool.
Why did this uni exclude the valuable "Quests" feature, and why are there no Hephs in the shipyard content?
Found the Home link top right... Was expecting to find it top left of the pages...
Recommend shifting Home to top left for more efficient navigation
A back button or a Home link on each page would be useful...
Is there a search tool for the new wiki?
There needs to be.
